The Face Behind
LK Complementary Therapy!
I remember as a little girl, setting up a bowl of warm water and offering close family members a foot soak and massage, so I suppose you could say that being a therapist has always been a part of who I am!
After completing a Foundation degree in Complementary Therapies at New College Durham back in 2008, I was very lucky to land my first role as a therapist within a drug and alcohol service, offering treatments to clients and their families who were dealing with the day to day struggles of addiction. This role was a real eye opener and showed me just how powerful Complementary Therapies can be!
After becoming a Mammy, I was looking for a change in my job role, which found me working at the very popular Sammy Anne's Holistic Therapies based in Whitley Bay (if your ever over that way I would recommend a visit!). Here I was able to add to my experience as a therapist, find my niche, and rediscover my passion for helping people put themselves first.
2019 saw another move for me, and for the last 3 years I have been working part time as a Complementary Therapist within the NHS Palliative Care setting, which is a real privilege and again has allowed me to develop an array of new skills and training.
LK complementary Therapy is a service I have sculpted to incorporate all my experience and values as a therapist, and focus on an area that I am truly passionate about - Women's Health!
