Based within Tyne & Wear
My name is Lucy and I am looking forward to sharing the wonderful world of Complementary Therapies with you! I work across the Tyne & Wear area, offering Reflexology and Aromatherapy treatments with a focus on Women's Health and Fertility.
Whether you are looking for support with your fertility journey, an existing health condition, or would just like to focus on you by adding some balance and calm to your lifestyle, my aim is to offer a safe and relaxed environment where we can work together to create an individual treatment plan tailored to your needs.
I am a full member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists.
As a Complementary Therapist I aim to work alongside mainstream healthcare, providing support through a range of treatment options that focus on you as a whole person by taking your physical, emotional, social and spiritual well being into consideration.
Reflexology is a treatment based on the theory that different reflex points on your feet correspond with specific areas of the body. Reflexology originated many years ago and is linked to ancient Egypt, India & China.
It is now a very popular treatment.
Aromatherapy Massage involves the use of essential oils in body massage to help promote and maintain well-being. Essential oils are derived from plant extracts and each has their own therapeutic properties.
I am happy to be able to offer reflexology to women throughout their maternity journey.
During what can be an exciting yet anxious journey maternity reflexology aims to focus on improving a mother-to-be's well-being by focusing on relaxation. I have been very lucky to undertake further training with Sally Earlam allowing me to incorporate techniques to focus on certain conditions that can often present during pregnancy including;
Morning sickness
Constipation
Pelvic Girdle Pain
Swollen legs & feet
Also know as Reproflexology is a treatment option for those trying to conceive naturally or via assisted fertility treatment (IVI, IVF, ICSI). Alongside this we also focus on male & female clients who are experiencing fertility issues such as PCOS, Endometriosis, low sperm count and hormone imbalances.
I have completed advanced training with Seren Natural Fertility and use specific treatment protocols to address fertility health for both men and women.

The menopause is a natural process for women, and as we will spend around a third to a half of our lives post menopause, it can really make such a difference if we are able to embrace the journey and decide who we want to be for the next phase of our lives.
The symptoms of menopause are vast, and will vary for each individual. Due to such an array or symptoms its not surprising that many women find entering the perimenopause and menopause to be a very difficult time, both physically and emotionally. Thankfully there are things that can be done to help, including lifestyle changes and medical options, however there are times when we may need a little extra support and reflexology can be just that.

A few of the more common conditions that can be supported through Reflexology & Aromatherapy. It is usually safe to have treatments alongside conventional medicine, but if you are currently having any medical treatment please speak to your GP before booking an appointment.
How many treatments will I need?
Everyone is different and the response to treatments can be immediate or sometimes take longer than one appointment. Regular treatments are recommended to allow the body beginning the self-healing process, and following an initial consultation I will suggest the number of sessions I think we should undertake.
Reproductive Reflexology clients will follow a structured treatment plan, which will be discussed at initial consultation.
What happens in a treatment?
When you first attend LK Complementary Therapy I will carry out an in-depth consultation with you, covering areas such as your contact details, lifestyle, health conditions and any prescribed medications you are taking. This information is vital in helping me to create a unique and realistic treatment plan for you.
After this I will talk you through what to expect in your treatment, before you get comfortable on the Lafuma® Chair or Treatment Couch (depending which location I see you at).
Will anything stop me having a treatment?
There are some health conditions that may prevent treatment taking place or that will need extra caution, hence why the initial consultation is so important to ensure I always have your well-being at the forefront of every treatment.
If you have and concerns or questions regarding treatments and your health please Get in Touch.
Can you diagnose my health problems?
Reflexologists cannot claim to diagnose or cure, but during a treatment we get 'feedback' as to which parts of the body are working well and which are not. Sometimes Reflexology will highlight a specific area which is struggling or working hard to maintain your well-being; if a particular reflex point shows this kind of reaction I'll discuss it with you at the end of the session.
What should I wear for a treatment?
I would recommend you attend your treatment in comfortable clothing to allow for ultimate relaxation.
Reflexology treatments involve feet and lower legs therefore choosing a trouser option that can easily be rolled up is a good idea.
Are you COVID secure?
As a small business living through the global pandemic has been a very difficult time. We ask that any clients experiencing Covid-19 symptoms get in touch to rearrange their appointment to avoid potential spread. As a therapist I am undertaking strict procedures to make my treatment space as safe and clean as possible.
I am proud to be offering my services within the Tyne and Wear area. It is important to me that clients feel safe and relaxed during their treatments, therefore finding the right space to carry out my treatments has been paramount.
